What’s happening this Week.

• One of Prospector John's dreams come true. "Jerky for Troops"

• Helping others...  

            We've all read about, know of, or personally felt the effects of the war.
For many families there is someone dear who is now in a foreign land, proudly serving our country.
A son, daughter, wife, father, mother, brother or best friend.

       

• 
  Many of us or the companies we work for, have sent gifts.
• But this can sometimes be difficult or only a once a year event.

As a veteran John knows what it’s like to be far from home.

He also knows what a wonderful treat to receive a gift from home as a soldier out on the lines.

Receiving a gift means you’re not forgotten...

The U.S. troops and their families have been on John’s mind for a while now.

He wanted to help ….. But how?

John wanted to help the troops in the field.

He wanted to help families of soldiers who won’t be coming back.

He wanted to help soldiers who came home but had long term injuries.

 

Then John's idea began to form…            

         Soon others heard the dream and showed the how.

• Disabled American Veterans

• Wachovia Bank
• Outdoor Recreation Heritage Fund
• more as the list continues to grow.

Now you can be a part of this wonderful dream also.

 

"Jerky for Troops"

Update: 08/16/2009 Jerky for troops has grown from an idea to a grass roots organization. Many people have helped by donating time or setting up monthly contributions and more. Paralyzed Veterans of America is helping the organization also.   To find out more go to www.jerkyfortroops.org
