Pay Dirt

Prospector John’s has some of the best pay dirt around Alaska.

I know what your thinking. Everyone who sells pay dirt says the same thing... and you're right.

We're all proud of the dirt we pull out and the effort it took to get it to you but there is more to it than that.  It's you! Thanks to you, our customers, the words you use let us know how good our pay dirt actually is.

Just like you our frequent customers enjoy the thrill and excitment of seeing gold in the bottom of their pan.

And while there are many choices to make and the worldwide web makes it even easier to shop pound for pound Prospector John's pay dirt stacks up head and shoulders above the rest.

You can order your pay dirt from any other company and I'm sure you'll be very happy with what you'll find in your pan.

Our customers are our best advertising. If you read the testimonials from our thousands of customers on Ebay you'll start to see the difference. Many of these same testimonials actually say our pay dirt bags are much better than other well known connoisseur gold outlets.

This is not just dirt out of the backyard with some gold planted in it. This is dirt cleaned out of the sluice box from active mines on the Kenai Peninsula.

Real mines, real pay dirt, real gold, real thrills and excitment just as if you were there with us.

I have no idea what's in this pay dirt but I do guarantee that you WILL find some color and just to make sure I'll put two pieces of gold in every bag.

The excitement of panning is not just sharing with your family and/or enjoying the outdoors. Gold panning is about the mystery.

Remember as a kid trying to find the prize in your cereal? Panning is a lot like when you were a kid, except there are no age limits and you don't need to switch from Tony's frosted over to bran just because you turned 50!

It’s the mystery and excitement of not knowing that makes panning so intense and exciting.

I am always excited when I am panning a days work of shoveling on a new remote stream .....could this be the one.....?!

Prospector John's pay dirt will give you the same opportunity to experience that feeling.

I will guarantee you'll find gold. But I can't ever guarantee how much. Sorry I just don’t know.

Prospector John's pay dirt comes from a mine on Quartz Creek on the Kenai Peninsula.
Certain lots were obtained from sluice boxes on Quartz creek.
Included with the bag of pay dirt is a vial to put your gold in and some simple instructions on how to pan.

 Oh yes one other note:

We normally classify and get all the bigger rocks and stones out before panning. We did classify this dirt to get rid of big rocks but we used about a quarter inch mesh so you may get a rock or two, a piece of quartz, jade, shale or anything. If you like rocks this is an added bonus.

Customers have told us they have found a lot of fine gold dust in this pay dirt.

I do suggest that you pan your pay dirt in a wash tub or some other container where you can salvage the pay dirt and re-pan just to make sure you haven't lost any of the finer gold.
